About Us
Project Liberate is the brainchild of the Chairperson of the Shallcross Civic and Ratepayers Association (SCARA), Mr. Poobalan Govender, a longstanding transformational activists and Shabaan Khan.
Together with two historically leading community based organisations, Shallcross Ratepayers Association (SCARA) and Shallcross Youth Movement (SHAYOMO) were roped in to lead this revolutionary project.
The project was launched on 23 February 2019 by Mr.Ravi Pillay, the MEC for Finance in KwaZulu Natal.
The seed funders of this project has been CEO of Macromm Sivi Moodley & Charanee Marimuthu from Data Alliance.
